This specimen was lot 2010 in Classical Numismatic Group's auction of the Richard Lissner collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $72.60. The catalog description[1] noted, "PARAGUAY, Republic. 1811-pres. CU-NI 5 Centavos. Buenos Aires mint. Dated 1908. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 63. Nice uncirculated specimen and faintly toned." This type is accompanied by a ten and twenty centavos and no further coins were emitted until 1925. The peso was dropped in favor of the guarani in 1944.
