Sincona sale 80, lot 2842

This specimen was lot 2842 in Sincona sale 80 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 650 CHF (about US$779 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY | Vatican - Church State, Benedikt XIV. 1740-1758. Zecchino 1745, Roma. Extremely fine." This type was struck 1741-56 and is among the more common of papal ducats.
