Sincona sale 50, lot 1124

This specimen was lot 1124 in Sincona sale 50 (Zürich, October 2018), where it sold for 6,800 CHF (about US$8,202 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Vatikan - Kirchenstaat. Clemens VII. 1523-1534. 3 Ducati 1529 (geprägt im 18. Jahrhundert), Bologna. Vierfeldiges Wappen, dahinter St. Petrus mit Kirchenmodell und Bischofsstab. Rv. Sieben Zeilen Schrift zwischen Hund und Fackel. Sehr selten. Fast vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Künker 241, Osnabrück Oktober 2013, Nr. 2023. (Papal States, Clement VII, 1523-34, triple ducat of 1529 (struck in the eighteenth century), Bologna mint. Obverse: quartered arms, St. Peter above with church model and staff; reverse: seven line inscription, hound above. Very rare, About extremely fine.)"
