Papal States (1628) testone KM-157

from Steve Album sale 45, lot 2773

This specimen was lot 2773 in Stephen Album sale 45 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2023), where it sold for $264. The catalog description^[1] noted, "PAPAL STATES: Urban VIII, 1623-1644, AR testone, ND (1628), year VI, one-year (three-variety) type, VF to EF, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This testone was struck years V, VI and 1628, and is a better type.
