The third specimen was lot 1290 in Künker sale 403 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €4,200 (about US$5,511 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[3] noted,

"PAPST ALEXANDER VI., 1492-1503. Die Münzstätte Bologna. Ducato papale o. J. (1500), Bologna. Mit dem Familienwappen von Cardinale Legato G. B. Orsini und dem Stadtwappen von Bologna auf der Rückseite. GOLD. Kl. Kratzer, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Papal States, Alexander VI, 1492-1503, undated papal ducat, circa 1500, Bologna mint, with the family arms of Cardinal G. B. Orsini and city arms of Bologna on the reverse. Light scratches, very fine to extremely fine.)"

The Bologna mint, tho nominally under Papal control, issued coinage of different designs, weight standards and denominations than the Rome mint. The second specimen features the arms of the Orsini on the reverse. This is the only gold coin struck for Alexander VI at Bologna. Struck at Rome were a triple ducat (Fr-28), triple fiorino di camera (Fr-28a), quintuple fiorino di camera (Fr-29), double fiorino di camera (Fr-30), single fiorino di camera (Fr-31) and a ducat (Fr-32). Only Fr-31 is not extremely rare.

Recorded mintage: unknown.
