This type was struck at the Lahore mint for the new government of Pakistan 1951-57. It was issued prior to the decimal reform and one rupee = 192 pice. The mintage seems inadequate for a country of 34 million people in 1951 (241 million people in 2017).

Specification: 1.25 g, bronze, 15.8 mm diameter, plain edge.
