Pakistan 1964 50 paisa

This type was struck at the Lahore mint for the government of Pakistan 1963-69. Both Numista and the SCWC call this a 50 paisa altho 50 paise is likely more correct. It was issued after the decimal reform and one rupee = 100 paise. All coinage under one rupee were demonetized in 2013. The mintage seems inadequate for a country of 34 million people in 1951 (241 million people in 2017).

Specification: 5.8 g, nickel, 24 mm diameter, reeded edge.
