Ottingen in the late eighteenth century

This specimen was lot 77276 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $552. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Ottingen. Taler, 1546. Karl Wolfgang, Ludwig, & Martin. PCGS EF-40. From the G. L. Hermann Collection." This thaler is a joint issue of 1543-46. The county was later partitioned between Baden and Wurttemberg in 1806.
