This specimen was lot 752 in Sincona sale 46 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 2,400 CHF (about US$2,880 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Oman, Quabus bin Sa'id 1970-. 5 Omani Rials 1397 AH (1976). Auf das 7. Regierungsjubiläum. Polierte Platte. FDC. Winzige Kratzer. (Sultanate of Oman, Quabus bin Sa'id 1970-, five Omani rials of 1976, on the seventh anniversary of his reign. Choice Proof, Tiny marks.)"
This type was also issued in AH 1408. We are confused as to how a seventh anniversary can be celebrated twice.
