This specimen was lot 812 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $102. The catalog description^[1] noted, "OMAN: Qaboos bin Said, 1970-2020, AR omani rial, 2005/AH1427, 35th National Day, Choice Proof, ex Dr. Wolfgang Schuster Collection." Qaboos died in 2020, aged 79 years, after a fifty year reign. He was succeeded by his first cousin, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said. A number of his NCLT's lack AH dates, surprising for a country so overwhelmingly Muslim.
