Olmutz (1629) ducat Fr-66
This specimen was lot 1747 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 9,000 CHF (about US$11,893 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Olmütz, Bistum, Franz von Dietrichstein, 1599-1636. Dukat o. J., Kremsier. Sehr selten. Vorzüglich. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (Austrian states, bishopric of Olmutz, Francis of Dietrichstein, 1599-1636, undated ducat, Kremsier mint. Very rare, Extremely fine, Magnificent condition.)"
This is an undated version of a ducat struck for Franz 1626-29. Like all the gold issues from this bishopric in Moravia, it is rare.
