This specimen was lot 1195 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $105.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "NUREMBERG: AR pfennig, 1793, PCGS graded MS65, ex Don Erickson Collection." Nurnberg issued a prolific array of minor coinage in the eighteenth century, including pfennig, and one, four, five, eight, ten, twelve, twenty and thirty kreuzer. A kreuzer was four pfennig and 120 kreuzer made a thaler. We note two different pfennigs for 1793: KM 377 and 381 (shown here). Both are common.
