This specimen was lot 55708 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Nurnberg. 60 Kreuzer, 1613. Nurnberg Mint. PCGS Genuine--Mount Removed, AU Details. From an Old Brooklyn Collection." This 60 kreuzer, struck 1613-19, is too small to qualify as a thaler and traded for a gulden (two-thirds thaler). The city began striking gulden in 1638.
