This type was struck 1974-96 for Norway. It superseded a portrait type (KM 408, struck 1958-73). All dates are worthless but proofs exist for 1992-96. It was superseded in 1996 by a bronze type (KM 460) struck until 2011, when it was demonetized.

Recorded mintage: 15,305,000.

Specification: 4.8 g, copper-nickel, 22 mm diameter, reeded edge.
