This specimen was lot 71840 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. Ore, 1927. Kongsberg Mint. Haakon VII. NGC MS-63 Brown. This attractive looking SCARCE date exhibits boldly struck devices with lovely smooth chocolate brown patina displaying a mottled iridescent sheen adding to its pleasing appearance." This type was struck at Oslo 1908-15, 1921-41 and 1946-52. The 1927 is a key date. The series was interrupted twice, once in World War One by an iron type of 1918-21 and again in World War Two by a Nazi issue of 1941-45. The denomination was suspended in 1972.
