This specimen was lot 75525 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $840. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 20 Kroner, 1876. Kongsberg Mint. Oscar II. PCGS MS-64. This glittering near-Gem retains a lovely cartwheel effect on its fields." This type was struck 1876-79, 1883, 1886 and 1902 to the standard of the Scandinavian Monetary Union, which lasted until World War One blasted all gold standards out of existence.

Specification: 8.96 g, 0.900 fine gold, .259 troy oz AGW, 23 mm diameter, reeded edge.
