Norway 1877 10 kroner
This specimen was lot 21288 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $2,232.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 10 Kroner, 1877. PCGS MS-65 Secure Holder. RARE, low mintage two year type. An exceptional example with full glowing satin luster. Tied with four other pieces in this grade with only two pieces graded finer. Even before passing under Swedish rule in 1814, Norway had enjoyed a separate coinage from Denmark.
