This specimen was lot 71827 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 1/2 Skilling, 1867. Kongsberg Mint. Carl XV. NGC MS-63 Brown. This lovely little copper issue exhibits boldly struck devices and smooth surfaces displaying rich mottled patina with areas of original mint red." This type was struck 1867 only. It is the last of the denomination. Norway was converted to decimal coinage in 1874.
