This specimen was lot 73011 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2023), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 24 Skilling, 1850. Kongsberg Mint. Oscar I. NGC EF-45. This enticing specimen delivers strong details and nice appeal, with a deep tone coating the surfaces. An impressive and wholesome piece." Norway passed from Danish to Swedish rule in 1814. This type is noted for 1850-55 and is fairly common in worn condition but difficult to find nice.

Recorded mintage: 102,000, the scarcest date.
