This specimen was lot 11150 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €576 (about US$600). The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 24 Skilling, 1736-C. Kongsberg Mint. Christian VI. NGC AU-55. The mintmark 'C', which was only used on there 24 Skillings in 1735 and 1736, stands for 'Commission', as one such was appointed in the wake of the previous Mintmaster, Nicolai Bernhard Fuchs, having been suspended and investigated for fraud. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1735-36 and is common in worn condition. This design was used with other mintmarks until 1746. This coin was worth one quarter specie daler.

Specification: 9.17 g, 0.562 fine silver, 29 mm diameter, this specimen 9.35 g.
