Norway 1732-NBF 8 skilling
This specimen was lot 11149 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 8 Skilling, 1732-NFB. Kongsberg Mint. Christian VI. NGC EF Details--Environmental Damage. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale - 1922). Ex: C. D. v. Kreber Collection (Copenhagen - 1841) Lot # 2718." This type was struck 1730-34 for Christian VI. It is fairly common. Eight skilling were struck 1727-30 for his predecessor Frederick IV although the SCWC does not separate the two types. One specie daler was six mark or 96 skilling.
