This specimen was lot 11093 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €3,360 (about US$3,502). The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 1/2 Skilling, 1676. Christiania mint. Christian V. NGC MS-64. An outstanding Mint State example of this diminutive emission. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1676 only. It was the first issue of this denomination. It was struck again in 1682 and then not again until 1837 (KM 305, copper). One specie daler was six mark or 96 skilling.

Recorded mintage: 262,000.

Specification: 0.73 g, 0.125 fine silver, 13 mm diameter, this specimen 0.72 g.
