This specimen was lot 11084 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €2,880 (about US$3,002). The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 2 Mark, 1672. Christiania mint. Christian V. NGC EF Details--Obverse Graffiti. Graffiti aside, a very handsome specimen with Z for 2 in date. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Johan G. Guildal Collection. (Private Sale-1918)." This type was struck 1672-74 but all dates are rare. One specie daler was six mark or 96 skilling.
