This specimen was lot 73004 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2023), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "NIUE. 2 Dollars, 2016. New Zealand (Aukland) Mint. Elizabeth II. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. One of the first 2,225 struck. Star Wars series: Han Solo. A great and flawless example from the Star Wars series featuring the self-styled best pilot in the galaxy, even if that galaxy was far, far away in a time long ago. Includes information card and certificate of authenticity #00001." Wikipedia comments,

"Niue is a self-governing state in free association with New Zealand, and New Zealand conducts most diplomatic relations on its behalf. As part of the Realm of New Zealand, Niueans are citizens of New Zealand and Charles III is Niue's head of state in his capacity as King of New Zealand. Between 90% and 95% of Niuean people live in New Zealand."

The New Zealand mint is a private mint, whose website states,
