This specimen was lot 1838 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it sold for $470. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS WEST INDIES: AR ¼ gulden, 1794-W. Lovely multicolored toning, NGC graded MS65." The only types listed for Netherlands West Indies are silver two stuivers, ¼ gulden (shown here), one gulden and three gulden. All are scarce but the three gulden is the most expensive.

Recorded mintage: 20,150.

Specification: 2.65 g, .920 fine silver, .078 troy oz ASW.
