Steve Album sale 54, lot 2826

This specimen was lot 2826 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS: Wilhelmina, 1890-1948, AR 25 cents, 1903, an attractive example, PCGS graded MS62." This type, struck 1898-1906, features the "coronation head" of queen Wilhelmina. On her coronation in 1898, the regency ended and she assumed full powers of the throne. This bust was used on all the silver and gold denominations from the ten cents to the ten gulden.

Recorded mintage: 1,200,000.

Specification: 3.57 g, 0.640 fine silver, 19 mm diameter.
