This specimen was lot 72545 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. 10 Cents, 1873. Utrecht Mint; privy mark: sword. William III. NGC MS-65. Featuring a slight cameo nature through its frosted devices, this Gem minor exudes a dazzling amount of lustrous brilliance." This type was struck 1849-50, 1853-56, 1859, 1862-63, 1868-74, 1876-90. It is not rare but tough to find choice. It had a face value of about four United States cents at the time of issue. This example sold for one-third the catalog value.
