Stephen Album sale 50, lot 3888

This specimen was lot 3888 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "NEPAL: Pratap Simha, 1775-1777, AR 1/4 mohar, SE1699 (1777), in the name of Queen Rajendra Lakshmi, UNC, R." This type was struck SE1696-1699 and has a very low catalog value. Nepal was and is an independent nation between India and Tibet but under the strong influence of the British raj. Mohars also exist in gold.
