This specimen was lot 2690 in Goldberg sale 109 (Los Angeles, January 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Italian States: Naples. 60 Grana, 1856. Ferdinando II. Toned. NGC graded MS-64." This half piastra was issued 1846-59 for Ferdinand II. These large silver coins are priced fairly low in the SCWC but do not turn up often. The Kingdom of the Two Sicilies was annexed to Italy in 1860 but remains poor, backward and corrupt.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.

Specification: 13.77 g, 0.833 fine silver, 31 mm diameter, lettered edge.
