Steve Album sale 51, lot 3177

This specimen was lot 3177 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "NAPLES & SICILY: Ferdinando II, 1830-1859, AR 10 grana, 1847, a wonderful example, PCGS graded MS64." This type was struck 1838-48 and this example realized about half the catalog value. One piastre was 120 grana.

Specifications: 2.29 g, 0.833 fine silver, 18.5 mm diameter.
