This specimen was lot 642 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Akbar I, 1556-1605, AE falus, Agra, AH965, clear date, a very rare type, the first we have offered in 10 years, VG-F, RR, ex SARC Auction 18 Lot 1071." The falus was a low denomination copper coin normally issued by the municipal authorities and not the emperor. One rupee was 128 falus.
