This specimen was lot 47617 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $960. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Mughal Empire. Rupee, AH 964 (1556/7). Arga Mint. Akbar (the Great). NGC AU-58." This type was struck AH 963-975 at many mints. The Agra mint is probably the most common.
