This specimen was lot 876 in Stephen Album sale 47 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Babur, 3rd reign, 1504-1530, AR shahrukhi (Kabul), AH930, clear date in upper right of the obverse margin, VF-EF, RR." The shahrukhi was originally a silver coin minted by Shah Rukh of the Timurid Empire (r. 1405-47) and was adopted by the early Mughal Emperors (Babur, Humayan and Akbar). It was eventually superseded by the rupee.
