Stephen Album sale 50, lot 2482

This specimen was lot 2482 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Jahangir, 1605-1628, AR rupee, Ahmadabad, AH1031 year 16, bold strike, well-centered, especially on the reverse, NGC graded MS62." This type was struck at twenty mints and is fairly common. The Ahmadabad mint is listed for years 3 thru 19.
