Mozambique 1960 10 centavos

This issue, minted in Lisbon 1960-61 for the Portuguese colony of Mozambique, is the last ten centavos for that colony. Previous issues were dated 1936 and 1942. The coin is common. This coin was issued just before the beginning of the war for independence. The Portuguese withdrew in 1975, triggering a multifactional war that continued for decades.
