This type was struck in 1938 and 1949 for the Portuguese colony of Mozambique. The 1949 is the more common date. The subsequent issue (KM 84) of 1960 was still silver but weighed only 4 g.

Recorded mintage: 8,000,000.

Specification: 7 g, 0.650 fine silver, 25.5 mm diameter.
