Mongolia 2007 100 tugrik

Stack's Bowers September 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 75278

This specimen was lot 75278 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $85. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MONGOLIA. Silver Plated 100 Tugrik, 2007. NGC PROOF-66 Ultra Cameo. A bold patterned piece with flashy reflective surfaces and a pleasing eye appeal." The SCWC does not mention the silver plating but this specimen clearly is as well as the one shown on Numista. The denomination is sometimes spelled 100 tögrög.

Recorded mintage: 3,000.

Specification: 27 g, silver-plated copper-nickel, 40 mm diameter.
