This specimen was lot 31611 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold Proof 1000 Tugrik 1994 PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC. Strong contrast defines this Ultra Cameo Proof issue with a sweet honey-gold appearance. The obverse depicts the Pekingese breed of dog. Rarely encountered due to a low mintage of only 500 pieces, and only two pieces grade this high by NGC with none higher." This design also appeared on KM 75 (copper-nickel 50 tugrik), KM 76 (1/10 oz gold 200 tugrik) and KM 77 (5 oz silver 250 tugrik).
