This specimen was lot 57345 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "MONGOLIA. 10 Mongo, AH 15 (1925). Leningrad (St. Petersburg) Mint. PCGS AU-58." This issue, the first for the independent country, was accompanied by one, two, five, fifteen, twenty and fifty mongo and one tugrik. All match the contemporary Russian kopeks and rubles. The Communists ruled the nation with Russian support until they were overthrown in 1992. This series has become expensive since it was included in Chinese catalogs.
