the duchy of Milan about 1477. Mirandola is shown as the northern part of the duchy of Modena.

This specimen was lot 571 in Sincona sale 46 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 1,300 CHF (about US$1,560 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALY, Mirandola, Ludovico Pico II. 1550-1568. Scudo doro o. J. Gutes sehr schön. (duchy of Mirandola, Louis Pico II, 1550-68, undated gold scudo. Good very fine.)"

This and a half scudo d'oro (Fr-753) are the only gold coins of this ruler.
