This specimen was lot 21336 in Heritage sale 61630 (Dallas, February 2024), where it sold for $2,880. The lot description[1] noted, "Mexico: Estados Unidos gold Proof "Libertad" Onza 2014-Mo PR70 Ultra Cameo NGC, Mexico City mint. One of only a handful to receive a pristine certification." The gold libertad was first struck in 1981 and was redesigned as shown here in 2000. The 2014 is the last date shown in the SCWC but Numista lists dates as recent as 2023. They were also sold in half, quarter, tenth and 1/20 ounce sizes.

Specification: 31.10 g, 0.999 fine gold, 34.5 mm diameter, reeded edge, 1 troy oz AGW.
