This specimen was lot 73265 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Onza (Ounces), 2005-Mo. Mexico (Potosi) Mint. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. Tied for second finest certified of the date with 7 other examples on the NGC population report, only 6 finer (PF-69 Ultra Cameo [6]). Bright and flashy with hard mirrored fields and frosted devices. This highly reflective large format issue exhibits a bit of pale tone on the obverse rims with a few spots noticed in the fields of the obverse and reverse mentioned for accuracy, otherwise free of haze or fog." This type was struck in small numbers 1996-2024. The mintage shown here is typical.

Recorded mintage: 3,000 plus 1,100 proofs.
