This specimen was lot 73264 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $690. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Onza (Ounces), 2004-Mo. Mexico (Potosi) Mint. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. Tied for second finest of the date with 9 other examples on the NGC population report, only 4 finer (PF-69 Ultra Cameo[4]). This seldom encountered SCARCE issue boasts crisp frosted devices with hard reflective fields. Light attractive pale tone is noticed on the rims adding to its pleasing appearance. A few areas of haziness are noticed amongst the devices, otherwise free of fog." This type was struck in small numbers 1996-2024. The mintage shown here is typical.

Recorded mintage: 5,923 plus 600 proofs.
