This specimen was part of lot 7020 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), which sold for $822.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Medallic 10 & 20 Pesos, 1953. NGC MS-66. 2 pieces in lot. Commemorates the 200th anniversary of the birth of Father Hidalgo." Altho struck to the standard of a gold twenty pesos of 1917-21, it bears no mark of value and is so classed as a medal. This and an accompanying medallic ten pesos were issued in conjunction with a circulating silver five pesos (KM 468).

Recorded mintage: unknown but not rare.

Specification: 16.67 g, 0.900 fine gold, .479 troy oz AGW.
