Mexico 1946 10 centavos

from the Mountain Groan Collection

This ten centavos is from a type struck 1936-46. It replaced a bronze ten centavos issued 1914-35 and was in turn superseded by another bronze ten centavos featuring Benito Juarez issued in 1955. The 1937 is scarce in uncirculated, the rest are common. The obverse design is adapted from the famous Aztec sun calendar in Mexico City.

Recorded mintage: 46,230,000.
