This specimen was lot 42658 in Stack's Bowers Winter sale (Baltimore, November 2015), where it sold for $152.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 2 1/2 Pesos, 1944. ANACS MS-67. KEY DATE. Mintage of 20,000 coins. A single light copper spot at 8 o'clock obverse, otherwise nearly flawless." This type was struck at the Mexico City mint 1916-20, 1944-48 and restruck in 1945. The SCWC notes that the 1947 is the key date and awards no premium to this date, despite the tiny mintage.
