This ten centavos is a scarce date of a type struck 1936-46. It replaced a bronze ten centavos issued 1914-35 and was in turn superseded by another bronze ten centavos featuring Benito Juarez issued in 1955. The 1937 is scarce in uncirculated, the rest are common. The obverse design is adapted from the famous Aztec sun calendar in Mexico City. This specimen was lot 72780 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $188. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Centavos, 1937-M.
