The first specimen was lot 72148 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Centavos, 1936-M. Mexico City Mint. PCGS MS-66. Tied for the finest certified example by PCGS, this handsome Gem offers an artful luster and barely any evidence of marking. A premium example for the specialist in Mexican coins." This ten centavos is from a type struck 1936-42, 1945-46. It replaced a bronze ten centavos issued 1914-35 and was in turn superseded by another bronze ten centavos featuring Benito Juarez issued in 1955. The 1937 is scarce in uncirculated, the rest are common.

Recorded mintage: 33,030,000, the second highest mintage date.

Specification: 5.5 g, copper-nickel, 23.5 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 432.
