This specimen was lot 31014 in Heritage sale 3041 (Chicago, August 2015), where it sold for $517. The catalog description[1] noted, "Philip V gold Escudo 1741 Mo-MF AU Details (Harshly Cleaned) NGC, Mexico City mint. Well detailed with cleaning evidence in the fields and partial luster remaining. A scarce date, missing in Norweb and Eliasberg and represented by a low grade example in Gerber. Quite collectible in this presentation despite the noted defects. From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins." This is the most common gold coin of Philip V and was struck 1732-47.
