The first specimen was lot 426 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 26 (Winter Park, FL, November 2019), where it sold for $178.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico City, Mexico, cob 1/2 real, 1670(G), very rare. Full 670 of date, nearly full cross on a broad thin flan, About Fine." The second specimen lacks a date or an assayer. The silver cobs were debased from 0.931 fine to 0.917 fine in 1728. They are not rare but very scarce with legible dates.

Specification: 1.69 g, 0.931 fine silver, the first specimen 1.43 g.
